A Players Point of View......Clare Harris

(June 20, 2007)
Last season saw Falkirk Ladies throw away their best chances of promotion, going from top table to finishing 5th. We had a reasonable start to the season. A good run of results, solid team performances and a good team spirit equalled a top spot in the league table. Even the Christmas
break did not manage to harm our table position or team performances.

However ongoing problems within the team came back to haunt us around
February time. A limited pool, unstructured training and disgruntled players
had a detrimental effect on our results. We were unable to break the chain
of defeat after defeat for at least 4 or 5 games, in turn letting our promotion chances slip through our hands.

Regaining a hold on our results and teams confidence came in the form
of new management. A whole new approach to the team and the individual players saw the team spirit rise once again!

This coming season will see Falkirk Ladies achieve their title aspirations
as the new management put into place an excellent new structure throughout the whole club, making a more enjoyable and professional club to play for. A gruelling pre season schedule will be welcomed by the players so we can start the season as we mean to finish it, as a fit, title winning
football club.

I can't wait for this new season to start and so we can see what the management has in store for us. Not only for the club but for myself, as I feel this new professional outlook will benefit each individual player so we can all reach our full potential.

A rejuvenated Falkirk Ladies team will definitely be a force to be reckoned
with this coming season!
