Captain 'Kirk' is SWPL Player of the Year

Falkirk Ladies Captain Emma Lyons wins SWPL Player of the Year

On Friday 25th November 2011 Emma Lyons and 10 of her team-mates attended the SWF Annual Awards Dinner at Hampden. Emma had been shortlisted as the Premiere League Player of the Year and her teammates were there to cheer her on. They were proud to witness the moment when Emma was announced as the 2011 winner of this award. Emma was presented the award by the Chief Executive of MNE TV, Allan MacDonald, who sponsored the award.

In her acceptance speech Emma 'Kirky' Lyons thanked the hard work of her coaches and teammates and gave them credit for for helping Falkirk stay up in the SWPL for another season. Well done to Emma for winning this award!
