Our Secret Reporter Reporting ...

With the home side playing with the wind in their favour it looked like we would be under the cosh right from the start but it was the other way round. For the first twenty minutes the game was controlled by our midfield and non stop pressure had to lead to goals.The first of what I thought was was going to be
many was a real peach from Katelynn a net buster from 20 yards.0-1

This seemed to be the wake up call the Academy needed and they began to trouble the Ladies defence. Academy corners were cleared by Nicole and Jillian before Lorraine was called into action to scoop another from the academy centres head.Our luck couldn't hold out for ever and the home sides first goal came from a throw in (wrong decision) which was prodded into the bottom corner.1-1

Dubious and frustrating refereeing decisions were made, we had 2 players booked when they clearly won the ball however Gillians sending off was justified due to swearing at the referee. At least mistakes were made which affected both teams.  Susie at full stretch but just failed to get on the end of a great ball from
Rachie and Nicole saw a good effort going wide.

The ladies were busiest in defence and it was only a matter off time before before the second goal was scored against us. A mix up in defense and the ball getting under the keeper. 2-1 Half Time

During the break Alison and Anne Marie must of given the girls a hard time. They came out a stronger team and once again I thought we had a chance. It wasn't to be, Aimee T. came away worst in an accidental head clash and looked a bit groggy for a short time afterwards.

The Academy's first of the half saw them scoring again 3-1. The home team were awarded a penalty? Justice was done when the taker blasted it over.

All in all we weren't at our best and I think the Academy were the better team. A better display is required when they visit Sunnyside.
