Before kick off we all observed 1minutes silence in memory of Eddie Turnbull who passed away last week.Eddie was one off the Famous Five the great Hibs forward line and later became their manager and his team earned the nickname Turnbull's Tornadoes.


It's taken me all week to work out what went wrong, there doesn't seem to be an answer apart from the usual injuries and illness.  Hibs must be laughing, will they ever play us when we have a fully fit squad?

I was a bit concerned straight away when Suzie took paracetamol before the game, if she's not fully fitand  Gillian, Jillian's, Linzi,Sara, Laura all recovering from injury and Emma out with a broken foot, what chance do we have?

The game started with  the wind  blowing across the field but to Hibs advantage.
For the first 20min Fakirk were by far the better team, Gillian and Robyn were controling the midfield.The home side weren't at the races and only had one tame effort easily taken by Lorraine.
We were all over them, a Lyndsay corner headed back in by Linzi taken by Sara who puts it away 1-0.

Gillian was taken off and things began to swing in the oppositions favour, players  were being drawn out of position,we had to get the shape back or lose goals, we didn't and we did. In a short space off time we had lost 2 goals and were glad to hear the half time whistle.

I don't see any advantage in dwelling over the 2nd half we had chances and so had they and every one in the squad gave their all but it just wasn't our day.
The Hibs keeper played out her skin and was the main difference between the 2 teams. I've got a feeling they won't be so lucky next time.
