CVS Volunteering Awards 2010
(July 25, 2010)
Falkirk Ladies Win Volunteering Award
At the recent Falkirk CVS Volunteering Ceremony held at the Inchyra Grange in Grangemouth the club's coaches were honoured for their hard work and effort with all the teams. The Celebrating Volunteering evening is an annual event where individuals and groups within the Falkirk area are recognised and thanked for the hours of work they put without much or very little reward.

Alison Mackie, Fiona Melville, Yvonne Anderson and David Wilson attended the evening and were on hand when the club was named 'Youth Engaging Organisation of the Year' for our work in encouraging young players aged 15-24 to get involved in the running of the club and within the coaching structure.
This is the first time that an organisation outwith Link HOusing or The Princes' Trust has won this award and it says alot about the commitment that the club has to retaining their members by utilising the young people in more ways than just being players. Alison Mackie was presented on the night with a certificate, silver platter and annual trophy which will be lept for one year and has been engraved with the club name.
