Central Girls League Cup Finals 2009 (November 15, 2009) Central Girls League Cup Finals 2009
On Sunday 15th November Toryglen Indoor Arena played host to the Under-15 and Under-17 League Cup Finals featuring teams from Falkirk Ladies.
  The Under-15 team faced their usual rivals in the shape of League Champions Motherwell and the 17's faced Rangers Girls. Both finals were fantastic matches with every Falkirk player giving their all and the matches being great adverts for the quality of girls football.
Results unfortunately did not go the Falkirk team's way when official's decisions in both matches went against the teams and having enough influence to change the course of both matches.
The Under-15 team went down 2-1 to Motherwell after Aimee Thomson had equalised after an early goal and Ranger won their match 4-1 after Falkirk's Allana Mason had given Falkirk an early lead.
All credit goes to every girl that took part and to the coaching staff from both teams for all their hard work and effort this season and during the final. Click here to return to the The Bairns' News page
