Youth teams have mixed success last weekend
(September 06, 2005)
The three youth teams had very mixed
success last weekend as they all played their first matches in the newly-formed
Central League.
The Under-15 team were the only team to record a victory and
they did it in style by beating Crammond Girls 10-0 in Edinburgh.
Both the U13 and Under-17 teams were simply outclassed as
Lanarkshire United (formaly Hamilton Girls) overwhelmed Falkirk with Kathryn
Nicolson getting a consolation goal. The Under-17 team were well beaten by
Arsenal North 9 - 1 with their goal coming from Sarah MacLennan. So,
disppointing starts to their season.
The Under-13 team were also left reeling on Saturday after
goalkeeper, Helen Edmund, broke her arm whilst trying to save a shot.
Everyone at Falkirk Girls wishes her a quick
recovery.
