Falkirk Ladies played host to Shipley LFC last weekend, braving
the welcoming scottish weather [the girls camped out??] on the worst weekend in
living history.
The Yorkshire lassies were indeed made of stern stuff and took
everything thrown at them in their stride, including the drink!!!
The weekend revolved around a match against Tynecastle, although
the Shipley girls lost, they showed plenty of skills and talent within their
ranks especially captain Hodgie and winger Emma.
With the minor matter of the game out the way the socialising
began with pub, meal, pub and photo's [in the pub] and then back to the
bar.
Thanks to all, especially Dawn, for making the visit
memorable:
1] Bacon rolls made in the rain 2] Latvian dancing in an Irish
pub 3] Isotoic fags during the game 4] Swing park frolics at 4am...
A Falkirk Ladies visit is planned in Shipley next
June.
Thanks girls for travelling north, it was an unforgetable couple
of days...
Neville, where's the tent
gone???

Beattie, Kerri and Kelly of Falkirk with some of Shipley
Ladies.
