U13s Defeat The Whites to Go Top in League (June 06, 2009) The U13s scored 7 past the Academy Whites today at Little Kerse to win 7-4 and go top of the league. With a depleted squad of only 9 players each one played their part in this win. Colette scored 5 in the first half making it 1-5 at half time and with another goal from her and one from Rachel in the second half resulted in a comfortable win. Carly played the first half at right mid and is improving with every game. Her work rate is superb and she never gives up, constantly putting her opponent under pressure. Sophie came on for Carly at half time and again her control of the ball is magnificent and her positioning and work rate is getting better. Caity came on as striker for the last 15mins and got into great positions to receive the ball. She was unlucky notto score when found herself through on goal but cound not connect with the ball. Mel and Stef were solid in defence, Rachel and Shalana worked tirelessly in midfield and Colette was composed as ever in front of goal as well as coming back to help out her midfield.
