Monifieth Ladies (1) V (2) Falkirk Ladies.

At the 3rd attempt of asking the Scottish Cup match between Monifieth and Falkirk finally got underway on Sunday.

In truth the match should have been postponed due the playing surface being a combination of a hockey pitch style astro-pitch and having a sheet of ice on top - A REAL HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUE.

The Bairns took the lead early on through an Arlene Livingston shot from the edge of the box and the lead was doubled midway through the half when Kerry Graham pounced at the back-post to steer a Clare Harris cross into the back of the net.

Despite the hosts finding the back of the net in the 2nd period the result was never really in doubt and Coaches Wilson and Thomson were more happy at avoiding any serious injuries to the players than progressing in the Cup.
