U13 win local derby (May 01, 2008)
The U13's faced Falkirk Academy in the second local derby of the season. Falkirk GFC were hoping to continue their good form and take another three points from the match.
The first 10 minutes of the game were frantic as both teams tried to gain authority in the game. Mid way through the first period Falkirk goal keeper Louise Young played a long ball though to Kearney who opened the scoring with a great solo effort. Two minutes later McCann added to the Falkirk tally as her deflected shot sent the Falkirk Academy goal keeper the wrong way and the ball rolled into the back of the net.
Half Time - Falkirk Academy 0-2 Falkirk GFC
Both sides created opportunities during the game but Falkirk GFC's composure, strength and experience showed throughout the match.
The second half saw further goals from Rachael Donalson and Shelby Kearney got her second of the game.
Another great team effort from all the girls saw the team walk out 4-0 winners.

Unfortunatly during the first half Cari Johnston of Falkirk Academy was carried off and later taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. Everyone at Falkirk GFC wishes Cari a speady recovery and hope to see her back playing soon.
As the end of the season approaches the young bairns have a back log of games to get through. The squad still have 4 league games and the League Cup Semi final still to play
