The U13 squad reached the semi final stage of League Cup after a convincing victory at Clyde Cumbernauld.
Nicole McPhee got the game off to a great start as she broke from midfield and slotted past the Clyde keeper after 5 seconds! (0-1)
McPhee's fantastic finnish was the first of several chances to test the Clyde keeper during the first half. The Clyde keepers handling proved to keep the score line down to 1-0 at half time.
Falkirk's strong play in the second half continued as McCanno dominated the centre of the pitch and provided good support to Donaldson and McPhee.
Donaldson and McPhee proved too strong a test for their opponents as they eased passed them with pace throughout the game. Falkirks wide play was to be aplouded as Donaldson's cutback was converted by McCanno from the edge of the box half way through the second half. (0-2)
Falkirk netted a third goal five minutes from the end of play to secure a semi final tie. Donaldson broke down the right side of the field and did fantastically well to get a shot on goal. The referee allowed play to continue as Donaldson managed to stay on her feed after being fouled. The Falkirk winger turned away from goal to get back into possition as she tought the goal keeper had saved the shot. To her surprise her team mates arrived to celebrate the goal as the ball had ended up in the back of the net. (0-3)
Falkirks back two of Cairns and Thomson had a quiet morning and coped well with Clydes attack as did Kearney in the the Falkirk goal.
