Clyde Ladies v. Falkirk Ladies
My first game without any coach or manager, and Falkirk
started the game off very positively with the attack actually attacking with
aggression and looking to do something. Shame that within the first 5 minutes
of Falkirk's positive play Clyde had to score. However Falkirk
didn't keep their heads down as they knew themselves that they had
been displaying the best football they have played in a long while.
Even though it had been Falkirks best performance, Clyde
were able to expose Falkirk's minor openings in defence and from
this came a penalty - given away by Laura Bryce - and two other
silly goals.
Five or ten minutes into the second half we substitutes
Susan Ferguson for Stef Zilliken. By this time we realised that we needed
pace down our left flanks and we hoped Susan was the person to give us extra
pace.
Roughly 14 minutes from time, Falkirk's 'die hard' keeper,
Fiona Melville was kicked in shins and suffered a nasty wee injury. Given
that there wasn't long to go and we were already getting beat by four goals, we
decided to bring Fiona off and put Vicky Yuill in goals for the remainder
of the game.
At this, the game finished 4 - 0. Not a bad performance from Falkirk
Ladies.
Team: Melv, Kirkwood, Zilliken, Brycie, Kaney, Yuill,
McDonald, Beattie, Mitchell, McGrory, Hunter.
Subs: Ferguson
